Eligibility
All applicants need to fulfil the following two criteria:
1. A valid CEED 2023 score
2. A passing grade in the qualifying degree

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Design/Engineering/Architecture/Interior Design: 10+2+4 years (minimum four-year Bachelor’s course). Note: B.Plan. considered equivalent to B.Arch. Four-year B.Sc (Engg) course after HSC is considered equivalent to BE/B.Tech.
2. Professional Diploma in Design: 10+2+4 years (minimum four-year diploma program). 
3. BFA (4 Year professional program with entry after 10+2). 
4. GD Art (4-year program after 1-year foundation. Minimum entry requirement 10th pass) Additionally, one year of professional experience in design areas is required.
5. Master’s Degree in Arts, Science (3+2 years program with entry after 10+2). 
6. Master’s Degree in Computer Application (3 years or 2 years in case of lateral entry to the second year after the BCA program with entry after 10+2+3 years for graduation).
7. Or an equivalent degree as decided by IIT Jodhpur.

The XR Design MDes program offers 20 institute-sponsored seats. The category distribution of these seats will be as per government guidelines.

1. The applicant’s CEED score (80% weightage)
2. Statement of purpose (submitted with the application, 20% weightage)

Applications for institute-sponsored seats will open from the 1st of May, 2023.

The program offers 5 self-sponsored seats.

1. Shortlisting based on portfolio and statement of purpose (submitting during the application)
2. Online interview for shortlisted candidates

Applications for self-sponsored seats will open from the 1st of May 2023.

All applicants will need to submit a Statement of Purpose (SoP) document along with the application. The SoP should answer the following questions:
1. What does the field of XR Design mean to you?
2. What is your motivation to join XR Design at IIT Jodhpur?
3. What do you like about the XR Design program at IIT Jodhpur?

The Statement of Purpose document should stick to the following guidelines:
1. A4 size page, 1-inch margin on all sides, 11-point size, 1.15 spacing
2. Single page of a PDF document, and less than 500 KB in size

For self-sponsored seats, applicants belonging to GEN-UR, GEN-EWS, and OBC categories are required to pay a processing fee of Rs.300 online, while SC, ST, and PD applicants need to pay Rs.150 during the submission of their application forms.

For institute-sponsored seats, all applicants are required to pay a processing fee of Rs 300.

Applicants applying for both the seats–institute-sponsored and self-sponsored–will need to pay the respective application fees twice.

1. All fees are governed by the institute rules and subject to change as mandated from time to time. 
2. Since the course has a large studio and workshop component, and will involve working in institute labs or with mentors in the evenings, there is no option for being a day scholar. Everyone will need to stay in the hostel.
